Once you make contact with us on 01622 765 981 , we will be on hand to answer any initial questions. Alternatively, use our quote or contact form and we’ll get in touch with you within 24 hours.
We will carry out a detailed site survey. We will check the type of electricity supply you have as well as the suitability and condition of your existing electrics. We can help plan the location of the charger and also help you choose from our top selling British brands.
We will compile a written quotation that states all equipment and installation costs & if necessary, any work that may be needed to the existing electrics to ensure compliance. We can then help you make an informed decision on which charger suits your needs best. We can also apply for any relevant grants on your behalf if you are eligible.
Once an installation date is arranged our installer will arrive at an agreed time. Installations times vary but we will provide a good approximation of time scale at point of survey. On completion of the installation, we will demonstrate the use of the charger & associated app.

The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) is a team working across government to support the transition to zero emission vehicles (ZEVs). They provide support for the take-up of plug in vehicles, as well as funding to support chargepoint infrastructure across the UK. OZEV administers grants to registered installers who claim it on their customers behalf.
Check your gas meter, it should have a green & yellow earth cable connected to it. The same applies for your water supply, unless the supply coming in is fed via a plastic pipe.
If you live in a rented property or are a homeowner of a flat (with off street parking) you are eligible for the grant. If it is a rented property then you will need the permission of the landlord to fit a charger. The vehicle and type of charger must be of an eligible type listed on the OZEV register.
Unfortunately as of April 2022 home owners of houses are no longer eligible.
Eligible vehicles can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/plug-in-vehicle-grants
The DNO (District Network Operator) is generally UK Power Networks for Kent & the south east of London. An EV charge point DNO application must be applied for when installing an EV charger – often approval is instant if the criteria are met. We will make this application on your behalf.
EV charge points aren’t chargers! The actual charger is an integral part of the electric vehicle itself. A charge point is an interface – a means of connecting an electric vehicle to the electricity grid – but these devices are commonly known as chargers. They provide a means of controlling & monitoring a charge session as well as communicating how much power can be provided.
The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors is one of several organisations which regulates the training and work of electrical enterprises in the UK. The NICEIC is one of several providers given Government approval to offer Competent Person Schemes to oversee electrical work within the electrical industry. Its Approved Contractor scheme is for electrical contractors undertaking design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical installations to BS 7671.
All EV Enabled technicians are NICEIC approved.
There is no definitive answer for this as there are many variables, but prices range from £900 up to around £2000. The factors impacting on the cost include the charger that you choose, the distance from your fuse board to the charge point and any necessary upgrades to existing electrics.
